What's so funny?

You might wonder what has captured James' undivided attention. (btw, this is Auntie Kari who was so nice to babysit for a very fussy James). Wouldn't this catch your attention? This is Auntie Heidi. For some reason James thinks she's hilarious. All she has to do is look at him and he roars in laughter or even snorts in laughter.

Super James

The adventures of a 9 month old. It's been a while since I posted, so I thought I'd just add a bunch of pictures from the month. They pretty much speak for themselves. We're noticing his hair has a few wings above his ears and some straggly hairs in the front. Maybe it's time for James' first trim. We'll see. We like how the humidity makes it curl.

How does this work? James is fascinated by the door. Seriously, he brings us to it daily and we have to pry him away.Wheels. Wheels. Wheels. Plastic wheels, real wheels, stroller wheels, car wheels, wheels on the plastic cars at the mall playland - so very interesting.
How can I escape? If the sliding door is open, he'll crawl outside. He got his first batch of slivers crawling to get back inside. ouch.
What did you find now? That walker is useful when Mommy and Daddy's fingers are not available.
James chases the little ball all around the house, but he has to stop and kiss the baby in the mirror.
James' favorite expression. Gramma thinks he does this when he's concentrating. He concentrates a lot. James is giving his Uncle Levi some affection.

9 Months Old Today

My baby is really a little boy now. Growing so FAST! He is 21 lbs and 29 1/2 in. long. That means he has grown 9 inches since he was born and put on 13+ pounds. He is just below the 90th percentile for height and 50-75 percent for weight. And I was worried he was getting too chubby. He has a relatively small head in between the 10-15th percentile.

The boy is active. He has learned to open cupboards and is walking along furniture like a pro.
