Some great pictures of James' current adventures

We took James with us to the recent marriage conference. Here he is wiped out from the day - lounging with his papa. This is also James' sleeping position. He'll start tugging on his hair as he gets tired. We took the opportunity for James to experience swimming for the first time. Splashing didn't take long to figure out. We were surprised that he didn't cling to us the whole time. He would lunge into the nice, warm water. He really liked it. Maybe we have a little swimmer.

James really likes Daddy's new hat. He hides his face inside of it and struggles to get it on and off! He looks like he's from the wild west in his cowboy hat and conductor's clothes.

Getting big - growing up....

James has a new toy. We hung this from the rafters of our balcony and use a box fan as a platform since all of our doorways inside are too narrow for this to be fun. The bonus is James gets to be outside which is his favorite place to be and he gets to stand up - which is his favorite position. Fun stuff. James has discovered the ceiling fan and light as well as yogurt. He prefers the fan and light over the yogurt or any other solid food for that matter with the exception of ice cream.
Yep. I'm a big boy now! And I'm learning how to communicate through flapping my arms, lunging my body, and of course cooing, screaming, laughing and crying. I'll let you know what I want to do, where I want to go, and when I'm all done with that.

Picnic at Lake Harriet

On Friday, we took advantage beautiful weather and blooming trees and went to Lake Harriet for a James' first picnic.

Then we took the opportunity to let him do a little exploring and for us to take some pictures.

He was eager to get a closer look at the blossoming trees.

Seriously, he loved being up in the trees. He would kick his legs and lunge forward to get a closer look. There are all varieties of blossoming trees in a little orchard. It is simply stunning.

We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and are thinking this has to be a new tradition.
